Irish Masters of Beagles Association
MARYBORO/MIDLETON FOOT BEAGLES
The
Maryboro Foot Beagles were established in 1956 and held their first
official hunt in 1957 under their Master Paddy Sheehan.
The pack was mainly a
draft from the Dummer Beagles, UK, with assistance from some local
packs e.g. the Shandon, Riverstown and Midleton. The inaugural meet was
held at the Fingerpost in Douglas Village. The longest serving Huntsman
was Paddy's son, Patrick, who retired after the amalgamation with the
Midleton Foot in 2002 and was succeeded by the current huntsman, David
O'Reilly.
The club now hunts the combined countries of the two former hunts East and S.West of Cork City.
