Gormley renages on promises
Minister
Gormley has consistently promised, both in writing to his FF
Ministerial colleagues and verbally to David Lalor MFH, who is the
IMFHA rep on the HAI and its current Chairman, that he was going to
exempt Hunt Kennels from the "Puppy Farming" regulations which his Dept
is producing.
Click here for a copy of the letter he wrote last year to Minister Dermot Ahearn.
However in a recent written reply he has stated that he is only going to exempt them from the fee for a Kennel licence.
This is disgraceful conduct and is totally unacceptable.
He
now proposes, as part of the Re-negotiation of the Programme for Govt.,
to introduce an amendment to the Wildlife Act of 1976 to BAN the Ward Union, by way of a Memorandum for Govt.
This must be stopped.
Go to the HAI Rally in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel in Ballinasloe at 8pm on Thurs 8th Oct.
